AMERICA... the great, the depraved, the falling down...?!? 

Younger, he'd be lamenting that such crap could NOT BE AMERICA... 

Older, and not necessarily wiser for it,
we heard him say such heresies
and total utter blasphemies
(that would have gotten him flaggellated, at the very least, 

were these the Good Ol' Days...!
