*JL* SDTK!

You didn't like the Justice League movie,
released last year and just issued
in Blu-Ray and DVD...?

Curse you to Apokolips - and beyond!

However, before you're deported via a
good old-fashioned ''boom tube''
(kirbyism - not my fault!)
and become Granny Goodness' b!tch...
Try and make sense - for once -
LISTEN to this GREAT
SOUNDTRACK -
and pick a tune.

NOW

Oopsy-do...
Got carried away there... once again!
BUT YOU ALL DESERVE IT -
TO BE SHOT FULL OF H20 HOLES!
Giving billions to BP and Coco... COCO!
And not to the Justice LEAGUE...
THE... JUSTICE... LEAGUE!
What an Injustice!
So... I got carried away here.
But surely, although you're most likely
a third Marvel Zombie...
a third BIASED CRAP...
and a third plain moron...
you can still tell the difference
between the actual film's music
and other tracks... that come from elsewhere
and elsewhen... RIGHT?!?

See if I care!!!

SIGRID WINS -
(because everybody knows; you're in trouble!)
I HAVE BLOGGED!

Now, now...

DO NOT make the mistake of mistaking my vote for Sigrid as one for the misbegotten Montreal-born repertoire of one Leonard Cohen...!

No... No... NO!

(NON... si vous préférez!)

I have this playlist on my YouTube channel where I collect all the cover versions of known and not-so-known songs that manage to SURPASS THE ORIGINAL...

This... is a prime example of that, right here!

Sigrid's interpretation of that old tune makes it -finally- worth the listen... even more so than Concrete Blonde's attempt, in the early nineties, managed to achieve... And infinitely more so than the original recording, with Cohen's own raucous, monotonous Montrealer voice, EVER could do!

Basically... SIGRID made a miracle: she turned a dud into a GREAT LISTEN!

That's what a COVER should always aim to do - salvage something, not merely redo, lazily, and hope to build an audience off of it...!

There are plenty of covers like that...

Sigrid made something LUMINOUS -
which is why she's got my vote
and wound up on my playlist for just such cover versions...!

And that playlist for luminous cover versions is indeed called...
