in derision of "Evolution" 
(both the theory as the group it inspired...) 
which was merely a bad name
quickly thought up just to 
avoid using "the 4 Horsemen" again!
But I didn't want to break momentum there...!
Oh - and although it was mostly a trio 

for the better remainder of its existence 

(and the one reunion they staged) 

"Evolution" used to be a foursome, yes... 
It was conceptualized as one, 
one that mimicked another 
which had itself been based upon 
the original Biblical one...! 
''Evolution'' then inspired 
(or competed with, really) 
those ''X-Treme Horsemen'' 
down south... 
And that awful Shield also...! 
And, then, it ran its course...
The fourth guy was just too randy 

for his own good,
that's all! ;)

Besides, all this gives us a chance 
to add on another rock band 
we could have included: 
Motorhead

** = now the Crickets are another story! 

These ''chirping Crickets'' 
rose to fame 

mostly when 3 of them 
hung out with Buddy Holly...

They evolved or de-evolved, too...

Not to be confused with 

the ''Bulgarian Beatles'' -

the other famous Crickets 
aka Shturtzite.

*** = now, ''No Doubt'' de-evolved 

and disintegrated into nothingness; 

leaving only Gwen Stefani 

and her pregnancies on tabloids...

Hardly the makings of 

an ''awesome foursome'' there!

We merely added them 

due to their uncanny similarities 

with Emily Haines' METRIC...! 

**** = during this ''legendary'' band's 

long and tumultuous lifespan, 

there was this brief moment in time 

(after Gabriel left - and before Hackett did!) 

...in which it really was a foursome! 

One could say that it died as one, too, 

as its own de-evolution saw it dwindle 

down to two founding members 

plus a new lead singer 

and a studio drummer of legend,

circa 1997...

The Bee Gees, 
finally,
are here because 
even though they were 3 
(and, earlier, 5...!) 

they were really four:
4 Brothers Gibb! 
(By the same token, 
we should have included 
the three musketeers then...!

being part of a Plan 
and all part of Creation!
